This Sony / Minolta mount 28-80mm AF zoom lens is the perfect wide-angle lens for when you just cant move mountains. The wide angle effect broadens the angle of view, while increasing the depth of field, so objects near and far are in focus at the same time. The lens zooms from a wide 28mm quickly to a medium telephoto range of 80mm. It is great for cityscapes, outdoor panoramas, room interiors, and group shots. The aspherical elements in the front group reduce the number of elements required, while the use of strong engineering plastic in the barrel makes the body light for travel. Today I received the Fisheye Kit from Tamron and Opteka and I love the Tamron 28-80mm Lens its just so sweet. Better then my Sony! The Fisheye however is neat not amazing but fun.. hard to explain I would go for a Lens next time instead of a conversion (goes on top of lens)
