Product Description:
Introducing a full-featured and affordable underwater housing for the Canon 40-D Digital SLR Camera. The compact, clear polycarbonate case provides visibility of its o-ring seals and corrosion-free performance up to a depth of 200ft (60m). Controls areprovided for every camera function except the print button. They are kept water-tight with Ikelite pioneered Quad-Ring seal glands–proven to be the most reliable method of sealing controls. A full range of dome and flat ports is available to accommodate most macro, wide-angle and zoom lenses. Port attachment is quick andeasy with a simple locking system and clear view of the port o-ring seal. Lens port not included. A large zoom control knob can be comfortably reached without removing your hand from the handle. The housing size and weight provide near-neutral buoyancy and superb handling underwater. The included tray with quick release handles allows convenient attachment and removal of Substrobe mounting arms at the touch of a button. The handle assembly itself detaches with the removal of just two screws for traveling. Addition of the #9571.3 1″ (2.5 cm) ball at release handle provides an attachment point for most non-Ikelite arm systems. The Ikelite Super-Eye magnifier comes standard and offers enhanced visibility of the camera’s viewfinder while wearing a diving mask. The camera’s live-view feature can also be used to its full potential with an unobstructed view through the back of the housing.
