Product Description: The Shootout Convertible Waistpack is a hands-free carrying system for a camera up to a standard-body DSLR (Digital SLR) & SLR fitted with a small or mid-size zoom, along with a second lens, flash and accessories. The Waistpack incorporates a broad, padded, fully-adjustable waist belt with a moisture-wicking lining for long-haul comfort. The main compartment flap opens away from the body, a feature that provides unimpeded access, and closes with weather-sealed zippers. Other features include dual-door end pockets with main compartment QuickAccess functionality similar to that of the Backpacks and a variety of interior organizers for media, batteries, cables and other accessories. And unlike typical, single-purpose fanny packs, the Shootout Waistpack converts to a compact, true shoulder bag by removing the belt and attaching the included hand grip and shoulder strap.

Excellent for shooters on the go. by J. Bitz First of all, just having a waist pack instead of a backpack makes this worth the purchase. I hated having to remove my backpack, set it on the ground, shuffle through it, pick it back up, and sling it on my back again. Having a waist pack means you always have your gear within arms reach, without having to take anything off or put it on. It’s well made, and the waist strap is really comfy and padded.
My standard bag contents (all of this stuff fits just fine at once):
D70 with 18-70 lens attached
50mm lens
70-300 lens
TTL cord
SB-600
Air blaster bulb
Lens cleaning kit
Circular Polarizer filter
Neutral Density Filter
Extra CF cards
Good camera bag. by Lewis Santos I don’t have the luxury of being able to physically shop at many camera stores as I live on a small Island in the Pacific. As with all purchases online, I purchased this bag with apprehension only because I didn’t have the tactile experience of shopping in a store. The bag is comfortable to use, and with the different options of carrying this bag, it is very versatile. I only have two minor complaints, one is the top compartment zipper is not as quick to open as other types of bags, the other being that some of the zippers when closed, do not seal shut. This bag is advertised for extreme conditions, and should not have flaws like these. Maybe it is only my bag but again I couldn’t examine it before purchase. That being said, as long as there is no typhoon, it’s the first bag I grab!
not up to snuff by evillpars it is too small- the belt is absurd and the material is cheap looking and strange. i kept it to long to send back, but replaced it with a domke f 6,
Way smaller than what they say by Richie I almost got it.
Whan I saw it, I decided to look for something bigger.
It’s maybe 10×6x5, not 12.5×8x9 as they advert.
The picture on tenba’s site tells the truth. You see body with medium lens and flash. That’s it. You won’t be able to sqeeze much more in it.
But it is built well and it looks good.
